Set 03

The Welfare Ground

Behind one end at AFC Emley, there's a Community All Weather playing area. which on this particular afternoon was a hive of activity.  We wondered, how many of the kids playing not 100yds from the ground, knew there was a match being played?  Commendable as it is for the community to have such a space, we were slightly saddened that at 15.00 on this afternoon, they weren't inside the ground, following their local club.

AFC Emley : Membership

Supporters are the "lifeblood" of every club, even more so at this level. It was great to see and discover that AFC Emley have a very active board/committee that will help guide them into the future, at whatever level.  Getting the younger element involved should be high on the priority list at many clubs.  Without the next generation of supporters, where will many clubs progress?  In 2013 it's almost unbelievable that clubs don't utilise the world of social media to promote their club.

02 February 2013 - AFC Emley v Hadleigh United

After previous postponements due to the weather, AFC Emley finally played their FA Vase fourth round tie v Suffolk club, Hadleigh United on Saturday 02 February at the third attempt.  You can see from the photographs in the previous AFC Emley v Hadleigh United feature here AFC Emley v Hadleigh United (19 January 2013) the change in the weather a fortnight later meant the fixture went ahead.

We have three features from today's match as we felt that using all the photography in just one feature would be an injustice to everyone concerned at AFC Emley.  This is our first set of photographs, watch out for sets two and three to follow soon.
