18 May 2013 - National Football Museum [Manchester]

Back in May, we made another visit to the National Football Museum in Manchester. One of "No Clash Of Colours" favourite photographers, Terry O'Neill was exhibiting a series of his iconic images in the "Strike A Pose : 50 Years Of Football & Fashion" exhibition. There's always something new for us to discover, to photograph, that we always try and make a point to visit the NFM every time we get across to Manchester as part of our "A CityUnited - Manchester Football Street Photography" series of work.

If you're in Manchester as a visiting supporter heading to The Etihad or Old Trafford, make time before or after the match (time depending) on heading to Cathedral Gardens, the National Football Museum.  Situated in the iconic Urbis Building, you can find all the information you'll need here >> National Football Museum [Information]

09 May 2013 - Sheffield FC v Frickley Athletic

48Hours after their U21 side had contested and won a local Cup Final, Sheffield FC first XI had the chance of repeating a similar feat when they took on Frickley Athletic at Hillsborough. The Final was the culmination of the Sheffield & Hallamshire FA Senior Cup, we'd covered matches in every round so far, starting off at Dinnington Town v Frecheville CA.

Frickley Athletic were slight favourites, playing in the Evo-Stik Premier, a division above the oldest football club in the world.  Last time winners in the 2003/04 season , Frickley Athletic were returning to Hillsborough a season after they had lost 2-3 to Worksop Town. Sheffield FC had won on their previous four visits to S6, the last time being a 4-2 victory over Hallam FC in 2010.
