Every penny that goes through the gate at Armthorpe Welfare is another lifeblood injection. Doncaster boasts two other NCEL clubs, at Rossington Main and Askern Villa, both featured previously on No Clash Of Colours. They deserve the support of not only their community, but the town also.

Disillusioned with the ever spiralling costs of following Leeds United, Saturday afternoons are spent at Armthorpe Welfare, safe in the knowledge that he'll be able to watch the highlights and sometimes lowlights of Leeds United later that night on tv.

The temperature in the ground dips, though on the terraces, it was soon to soar...

"Angry Scarborough Athletic supporters explain to club secretary John Clarke that no offensive chants were aimed at the injured Armthorpe Welfare player, Joe Lumsden. This all came about as the injured player's mother came around to the main band of "Seadogs" and accused them of chanting obscenities towards the injured player."

"Players from both clubs leave the field, unfortunately, due to the seriousness of the injury to Joe Lumsden, the Armthorpe Welfare players would have to wait another twenty minutes before they could enter their changing room and showers.
